If you haven’t gotten your video in for the Christmas Scratch Science contest, do it up! 9 days left to submit and the deadline is December 25th. So far we have 16 entrants, and just as a reminder this is purely a luck-based contest, posting your video is effectively your ticket into a raffle for the records. ALSO I’m feeling extra cheery this year so I’m going to be giving away a couple more Scratch Science records. I’m not going to say how yet, but watch this space. It will have something to do with the Scratch Room, so if you haven’t jumped in for a scratch session yet, go in there and get yourself comfortable and it might help you win some new scratch records.

Ritchie Ruftone QnA

Starting tomorrow on the forum there’s going to be a thread called “Ritchie Ruftone QnA”. For 3 days you’ll be able to ask the current DMC Supremacy World Champion anything you want about battling, scratching, or otherwise. This is a great opportunity for up and coming battlers, or just people interested in Ritchie’s take on things. He has been at the top of the battle scene in two completely different era’s over 10 years apart so he knows a thing or two about battling. Big shouts to Ritchie for doing this!

This week it looks like on Tuesday we’ll have Jon1st (2013 DMC Online World Champ) and his Top 10 influential UK turntablists, and on Wednesday we have an interview with DJ Chile (2011 WTK Scratching champ + 2013 UK IDA Scratch champ) about all things scratching, and about his brand new EP that just dropped last week.
